# Devlog #3 – Menus, Sound & Procedural Animation


Hello everyone,  


Development on Echoes of the Cave is moving forward steadily, and I’m excited to share the latest progress!  

## ✅ What’s Done

- Fully built the **Main Menu**, **Settings**, and improved level selection.  

- Added **saving for settings and levels** to keep player progress consistent.  

- Implemented a **complete sound system** + background music for the main menu (more sounds to be added soon).  

- **All levels designed on paper**, ready to be implemented in-game.  

- Improved animations using **procedural techniques**, making interactions feel more natural (like hand movement when pushing objects).  

## 🎯 Work in Progress

- Bringing level designs into the game.  

- Additional improvements to animations and interaction.  

- Adjusting **lighting** to enhance the cave’s dark, atmospheric mood.  

## 🔮 Next Steps

- Add ambient and environmental sound effects.  

- Implement the first fully playable stages.  

- Develop the final UI assets.  

With all the core systems complete, the focus now shifts to polishing the **visuals, atmosphere, and overall game feel**.
