# Devlog #2 – Core Systems Complete, Polishing Ahead


Hey everyone,

Big milestone reached! All core and major systems for Echoes of the Cave are now complete these were the most time-consuming parts of development, involving planning, coding, and solving tricky technical issues. 

Core Systems Finished
- Interaction mechanics (stone/torch carrying, push & pull, brazier lighting, puzzle triggers) 
- Smooth camera follow system 
- Input system for keyboard, mouse, and controller 
- Fully tested across three prototype stages 

What’s Next

With the foundations done, I’m moving into polishing and visual work: 
- Lighting & mood setup 
- Animations 
- Sound effects & ambient audio 
- UI integration 
- Full graphics settings menu 

Special Note 
For the Tifinagh symbols, no ready-made 3D models exist, so I’ll be working with a 3D designer to create custom, high-quality assets that match the game’s style.

The hardest part is behind us — now it’s about bringing the world of *Echoes of the Cave* to life visually and atmospherically.
